The Field based Machine Control Installation and Support Engineer would report directly to the Service Support Manager and would be responsible for providing customer support through the performance of on-site Machine Control installations, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of on machine systems. A background in Plant Service and/or mechanical and electrical engineering would be advantageous. The successful candidate would be responsible for the installation of Trimble 2D and 3D machine Guidance systems and Telematics hardware on non-CAT branded and OEM machines plus the installation of Trimble Earthworks and Trimble ARO/ CGC systems on CAT machines to a high standard.
Additionally, they may be required to assist with the provision of basic “hands-on” training to end-users on the operation of Machine Control systems where necessary and delivering technical assistance when required, alongside our Technical Support and Application team. Customer satisfaction and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team are the key elements to the success of this role. Job Description:
•Primary resource in providing on machine installation, maintenance and support on construction
Heavy Civil Construction technology at the customers site
•Ensures the operational quality of the system by documenting post-installation testing
•Provides on-site troubleshooting
•Provides basic-level operator training to end-users where necessary
•Ensures that installation, and other work necessary is completed on time.
•Documents and reports field activities as well as being pro - active in creating process improvements
•Drive revenue based upon performance of services for Construction machine customers
